Title:
Applications of Linear Coset Coding Discovered by the Danish-Japanese Collaboration

Abstract:
Nowadays, protection of information has become even more important. There are two major criteria for the secrecy of information, one is computational security and the other is information theoretic security. The latter is defined as (almost) statistical independence between confidential information and adversary's information. This talk focuses on the information theoretic security.
A representative scheme with information theoretic security is the secret sharing, which is commercially used to protect distributed information in data centers. Secret sharing is known to have one-to-one correspondence with a pair of linear spaces over a finite field.The security property of secret sharing can completely be described by combinatorial properties of the above linear spaces.

This talk introduces some of recent progress on their study by the Danish-Japanese collaboration.
