The international conference, scheduled for May 8-9, 2025, is organised in honour of International Women in Mathematics Day, celebrated globally on May 12. The event aims to recognise and celebrate the significant contributions of female mathematicians in both theoretical and applied fields.
The conference will feature six distinguished plenary speakers:
These experts will share their latest research and insights, providing attendees with a unique opportunity to learn from leading figures in the field. In addition to the plenary talks, the event will include a series of shorter contributed talks, a poster session showcasing innovative research, and a conference dinner on the evening of May 8, fostering networking and collaboration among participants.
Sponsored by the Novo Nordisk Foundation, the Danish Mathematical Society, and Aalborg University's Department of Mathematical Sciences, the conference is open to all staff and students from Danish and international universities. The organisers are committed to making the event accessible to a wide audience, offering free participation and funding to cover travel and accommodation expenses for students and junior researchers.
This celebration not only highlights the achievements of women in mathematics but also aims to inspire the next generation of female mathematicians. By providing a platform for sharing knowledge and fostering connections, the conference seeks to promote gender equality and diversity within the mathematical community.
