Title: Glass Analysis with Reeb Graphs

Abstract: In this talk we will present the first results of a project which involves the Topological Data Analysis group from Math, and people from  Chemistry. We analyze some glass structures trying to characterize their ionic conductivity via topological properties, validating our findings with previous results in the chemistry literature. We will conclude the presentation with some theoretical and practical challenges which we need to face in the upcoming months.  The talk is meant for a broad mathematical audience and no previous knowledge of Reeb graphs is assumed.
