They have both been with us for a couple of months now and have already made their mark here at IMF. Matteo as a PostDoc and Yossi as a Research Assistant – soon to be Postdoc.

They will be affiliated with the department's research group on topological data analysis with Lisbeth Fajstrup, Christophe Biscio and Anne Marie Svane reflecting the already large international network of that group.

Yossi and Matteo will use and develop tools from geometry and topology that can be applied in a wide variety of settings, like exploring and summarizing the shape of data. In particular the shape of glass in collaboration with Morten Mattrup Smedskjaer.

The project is funded by Independent Research Fund Denmark.
